101 Years of Tour de France Globalization by National Geographic Society

How the group of cyclists, known in the cycling world as peloton, went from a uniformly French, then European bunch, to a multicolored, multicultural, plurilingüistic mass later? The interactive first guides the reader through several key moments in the Tour's history as an international race, then allows then to find and explore every year. It allows the user to scroll through each year, explore each individual rider: the peloton starts small and mostly blue, white and red; to later morph into dozen of flags in a much larger group.
