Travel through topographical time

A nifty web app by The Swiss Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) shows Swiss topographical changes over the years from 1844 up to 2012. The map you see in the app is fed by several, perfectly aligned, historic maps of Switzerland. As you look at the map (feel free to zoom in and out) and slide the time scale at the top of the map forwards and backwards, you'll find yourself traveling through topographical time. Have a go here.
