US Challenge: Improve the presentation of school report cards

Choosing a school for your child is no easy task. It’s a veritable minefield out there and reading dozens upon dozens of mostly textual, multi-page school reports is time consuming and often confusing. Which is precisely why US-based educational body, The Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinEd) has launched a design challenge for US data visualizers to reimagine today’s school report cards and make them more accessible.

My School Information Design Challenge offers prizes totalling up to $35,000 for designers who employ the latest strategies in data visualization to effectively reimagine the appearance, presentation and usability of school report cards.
