Submissions are open for the 2022 Awards!
This year, the Information is Beautiful Awards return after a two year pause during the pandemic, and are now hosted by the global Data Visualization Society.
The window for submitting work for consideration opened last week, and we would love to see submissions from your team. Submissions for the ten Category Awards will remain open through September 18, 2022.
The prestigious Special Awards for Rising Star, Impressive Individual, Outstanding Studio, Community Vote, and Most Beautiful will be selected from the works submitted for the category awards. Additional new Special Awards for Impactful Community Leader, Test of Time, and Exemplary Book will include a nomination cycle opening in mid-September.
With the transition to the Awards being hosted by the Data Visualization Society, there are a few key changes we’d like to call your attention to:
- Categories have been refreshed, including a special annual category that centers on visualizing COVID-19 for the 2022 Awards
- The submission window is shorter than in past years, but the timeline for announcing the long list, short list, and winners remains similar
- The Awards Ceremony will be hosted in Washington DC on November 30, 2022, a change from past years in London
If you have questions about the submission process, check out our Frequently Asked Questions page where you’ll likely find an answer!
We are also still seeking sponsors for the Awards, and would welcome a chat if you’d be interested in supporting the Awards program in that way.
Sponsor organizations and their team members are eligible to submit work for consideration, but cannot serve as judges in any categories where their teams are competing.
