Cruz could have been in the lead by Erik Boertjes

This is a visualization of the Republican primary elections in 2016. In this elections, each state has its own system of dividing delegates over candidates. This visualization allows to experiment with this. What would happen if the Republicans would vote proportionally (like the Democrats do)? And what if all states would follow the 'Winner Take All' system? Results are shown up to the point where Cruz and Kasich withdrew from the race.
