Vis à Viz by Ilija Stojic

An exploration of related principles in traditional arts and data visualization. I created this for 2022's Iron Viz competition for Tableau, and used public data from arts.gov, MetOpera Database, Operabase, and Wikipedia. I went through more than two dozen ideas before I landed on one that combines something I'm passionate about and information from various art forms I love, as much as time allowed. The parody of Norman Rockwell's Triple Self Portrait at the top I created using actual images of data and the dashboard as well as famous artists and visualization pioneers to show that we do not consume nor visualize information in a vacuum free of influence, experience, or bias.
