Privacy Preserving Proximity Tracing by Fidel Thomet, Thomas Haas, University of Applied Sciences Potsdam

This visual explanation demonstrates how COVID-19 tracing apps can break infection chains and preserve users' privacy. We felt that the public discourse surrounding digital contact tracing lacked a genuine understanding of the actual risks and capabilities of the technology. Utilising interactive and animated network visualisations, we wanted to make a productive contribution that is understandable but does not hide complexity.
