Liquid Gold by Kim Ly Scott

Liquid Gold was built for this year’s World Breastfeeding Week. World Breastfeeding Week runs annually in August and is designed to bring awareness to breastfeeding and its benefits and the challenges breastfeeding mother’s face.

The term Liquid Gold refers to breast milk because of what it contains and its ability to uniquely adapt to a baby’s needs. In this viz, I show the composition of breast milk, the different stages of milk production and the benefits babies get from each stage.

Breastfeeding is not for everyone, but for me, I could not think of a better way to bond with and nourish my two children when they were babies. While my babies are no longer babies, breastfeeding is a topic I am still very passionate about.
