On top of the World by Kim Ly Scott

On top of the World was built in honour of this year’s Women’s History Month in an effort to showcase and celebrate the women who have climbed Mt Everest - from the first ascent by a woman in 1975 through to 2022.

A beeswarm chart is used to show the timeline of each summit and the increase in women climbers through the years. Notable climbs/climbers are highlighted, as well the ability to see climbers who have summited multiple times and climbers who summited without supplemental oxygen.
