Bringing visibility to disability by Ellen O'Neill

In May, the World Health Organization asked the Viz for Social Good community to help them visualise what disability looks like across the globe through a digitally accessible lens.

Leveraging data provided by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, a series of digitally accessible visuals have been produced which focus on the people behind the statistics. Using a blend of illustrative and data storytelling techniques, this scrolling visualisation invites the viewer to reflect on their daily interactions to help paint a picture of what disability prevalence looks like in the modern world.
