PlayStation – Top N Games by The Information Lab

This interactive visualisation showcases the top-rated PlayStation games, ranked by Metascore from Metacritic. Using a radial dendrogram, users can explore the highest-rated games by genre, from RPGs to shooters, uncovering trends in game ratings.

The design is inspired by the PlayStation DualSense controller, reinforcing the gaming theme. Additional charts provide insights into score distribution and genre breakdowns, offering a deeper look at how different types of games rank over time.

Built in Tableau, with a custom background designed in Photoshop, this project blends data storytelling, gaming culture, and creative design. The DualSense controller mockup by Piero Unisono (Behance) further enhances the PlayStation-inspired aesthetic.
